Hello. I’m Rachel. I am a visual artist, writer and singer. I lead the Aberlady Singers Choir. I am part of the Aberlady Open Studios. I am lead for The Aberlady Wild Goose Chase Art Trail. Best of all, I am a Mum. If you’re looking for more information about any of these things, you’re in the right place! Keep going…
Visual Art, Writing and Making
Here’s a look at a few things I’ve made and am writing. I’m a sporadic maker and highly self critical, constantly evolving in styles and preferences, always experimenting.

The Aberlady Singers
The Aberlady Singers is an intergenerational choir based in Aberlady, East Lothian. I’ve led the choir since it began in April 2025, now with support from a small steering group. We mostly sing Scottish traditional music, often unaccompanied, enjoying the rich harmonies we create together.
We’re a mixed-ability choir, so whether you’ve sung all your life or are just starting out, you’ll fit right in. You do not need to read music to be part of the choir and we do not audition.
I believe everyone can sing. If you’d like to come along and sing with us, please get in touch…
The Aberlady Open Studios
I am a member of the Aberlady Open Studios, a wonderful bunch of artists based in our beautiful costal village. We open our studio doors every year for visitors sp please come along for our next trail over 9th & 10th May 2026.
I don’t have a home studio – I use lots of spaces through my house, sandwiched betweenn washing, toys and fish tank. But you can find me in The Old Aberlady Inn during this years open studio weekend, sharing some work and running a craft de-stash stall fundraising for another project, The Aberlady Wild Goose Chase Art Trail…

The Aberlady Wild Goose Chase Art Trail
I am project lead for the Aberlady Wild Goose Chase Art Trail, a proposed permanent public art trail of ceramic tiles depicting geese. The trail will invite residents and visitors to explore Aberlady through playful discovery while celebrating the village’s natural heritage—particularly the Greylag and Pink-footed geese that gather at Aberlady Bay Nature Reserve.
